jetBlue AYCJ…

It’s been forever since I’ve blogged! I know, I’m sorry. I’ve been hard at work on the new site and blog and have decided that I’m going to use this domain for the new stuff. As far as all the stuff that’s already on here, I will have to archive all my old posts and start anew. I’ve been “saving” blog posts (if that even makes any sense) for the new site, thus the lack of blogging. I have an amazing designer working on my branding/logo and have been building a portfolio that I can’t wait to share with y’all!

The reason for me writing today is for me tap into my reader-base (I hope y’all are still out there since I haven’t updated in forever).

Life has granted me an opportunity to travel yet once again. I just came back from a two week trip to Hawaii where I shot a ton and ate a ton. We came away with some amazing shoots and were very fortunate to have met the people we did. I’m back home for not even two weeks when jetBlue started their All You Can Jet promotion. They were offering an unlimited amount of flights to wherever they fly for $500! I had to jump on it despite the lack of finances. Like I did for my cross-country roadtrip, I’m turning to the barter system for lodging and meals. My schedule looks like this so far:

New York I: 9/10 through 9/13

New York II: 9/17 through 9/20

New Orleans: 9/18 through 9/21

Boston: 9/26 through 9/28

Hawaii: 9/29 through 10/3 (not through jetBlue and no lodging needed but thought I’d throw that in just in case folks want to shoot)

Seattle: 10/4 through 10/6

I’ve been tapping into the couchsurfing community but it looks like so has every other AYCJer. I’m totally down to barter photography for a couch if anyone is interested! I am super duper clean, don’t smoke, low maintenance, and will stay out of your hair if you want me to. Or you can come play tourist with me and I promise I’ll leave you with some great shots in return for your hospitality!

If you can’t host but you want to book a shoot, give me a holler for a special rate!

Lastly, I am looking for volunteer opportunities in each of the cities I will be visiting. I’d love to somehow incorporate photography into it but am just happy volunteering in any capacity as well… foster homes, retirement communities, homeless shelters, etc. Let me know if you know of any or work with specific ones that you’d think I’d match up with well.

Leaving you with some shots from the islands!

Kim Redding - Granted, I’m 3 hours away from Seattle, but if you happen to make it down to Portland let me know! I might even have a couch for you. :) Have a safe trip!

Kim - (the first time didn’t work so I’m trying this again)
